The product comes before the factory
Product → materials and work steps → equipment and layout → simulated result → improvement proposals. You describe four things; the rest is built from them.
- 1Material structure (BOM)What the product is made of, and how much of each. Quantities can follow the product's size.
- 2Work steps (routing)What has to be done, in which order and under which conditions. Options switch steps on and off.
- 3Equipment libraryWhich stations can do each step, with their times, footprint and cost. Built once, reused for every project.
- 4Production targetWhich products and how many. Change it and the factory is sized again.
Only steps and times are required. Materials, dimensions, options and formulas are depth you add when the question needs them.
An e-bike line, from product to verified layout
Describe the product, build, adjust what the drafts got wrong, build again. Every film is one take in the app; waiting is sped up and marked.
- 1 · DescribeParts, steps and their orderOr import a library from Excel.
- 2 · BuildBalanced and placedStations are balanced to the target and placed on the floor. Steps no machine covers appear as drafts.
- 3 · AdjustReal times, combined cellsRename, set real times, combine short steps into one cell.
- 4 · VerifySimulatedWith variation, transport and buffers: the line meets takt.
Edit hundreds of machines at once
Factory data shows every station, task and event as one table. Search, select many rows, change a value or paste cells from Excel, and see every change marked before you apply it.
- FindSearch by name, task or valueEvery machine with a given operation, in one filter.
- ChangeOne edit, many rowsTimes, sizes, breakdowns, operators or formulas for every selected row.
- CheckOld → new before ApplyEach changed cell shows its old and new value; one Undo takes the edit back.
- ExchangeExcel in and outExport the library, edit it in a spreadsheet, import it again; the import guide maps your columns.
Your product rules drive the simulation
Define processing times, material consumption and your own production metrics from product properties and formulas. Pick a property, add a calculation and see the value before you save; no formula syntax needed.
- Time60 s + 25 s per metreA 4 m section takes 160 s at the frame cell; a 6 m section 210 s.
- Material2 m of profile per metreConsumption follows each unit's own length; the line gets storage for it.
- Your KPI80 conveyor metres per hourTotal length produced ÷ simulated time, reported with every run.
